Both Justin and Joel Canny grew up in small business owner families in Mildura and Wangaratta respectively. They have the unique perspective of truly understanding the realities of running a small business day to day.
Together with Kyle, Troy and the rest of the team, we bring nearly 100 years of combined experience in helping 1,000+ small and established organisations run profitable, scalable and rewarding businesses (while saving some tax along the way).
We’re building a team that has real world business and CFO experience, who are passionate about working with high-growth businesses and have the necessary skills to match.

DirectorOver 15 years experience supporting startups and small businesses grow and evolve. Justin is passionate about small business.
Specialises in small business tax, CFO strategy & advisory, cloud automation and Xero for high growth businesses, in particular eCommerce and technology.
Originally hailing from Mildura, where his early accounting skills were honed on his parents' small businesses from the age of 14.
DirectorAnother country Victorian, Kyle hails from Bendigo. He brings a wealth of tax and well rounded accounting knowledge to the team, having worked closely with small business clients around the Bendigo, Geelong and Melbourne areas for over 12 years. He is our go to guy for all things tax compliance, tax planning and business structuring.
Outside of chasing the best tax outcomes for our clients, Kyle can be found enjoying time at home with his young family while keeping one eye focused on his beloved Collingwood Magpies.
CFORohan brings a unique and broad range of finance experience to the GreenSlate team. From being a general manager of a well known Australian golf startup to finance manager roles at more established businesses around Melbourne. Rohan works hands-on with our small business owners to help them understand their current and future business performance.
When he's not knee deep in spreadsheets, you'll find Rohan spending quality time with his young family while dreaming of spending more time on the golf course. He's also another bombers tragic, but don't hold that against him!
ManagerHelping pull the GreenSlate team together, Troy helps manage the GreenSlate tax machine. Specialties include all things small business tax (income tax, GST, PAYGw, payroll tax and FBT), payroll and Xero.
Aside from reading tax law, Troy is also partial to the mighty bombers, an occasional beer and training for endurance events (why though?)
ConsultantWith over 10 years experience working closely with small businesses and within the finance team of a large Melbourne construction company, Joel brings a wealth of commercial business experience to the GreenSlate team.
Specialties include construction, property, managing the finance function and CFO strategy & advisory.
Hailing from Wangaratta, he also likes spending time on the farm, traveling and dabbling in 5-a-side soccer.
